The Light Ranch is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to creating a vibrant community that nurtures the healing of individuals who have experienced trauma by connecting them with the outdoors. Who We Are
This site started out as Encounter Outdoor. It began as a humble platform to document my outdoor adventures. However, life took a turn and writing took a backseat. Suddenly, everything changed, and my world was turned upside down. Today, Encounter Outdoor has transformed into a place of community, healing, conservation, and education surrounding the outdoors. Most importantly, my passion for helping others has blossomed through this journey, bringing forth the creation of The Light Ranch.
