meet the founder
The Light Ranch didn’t start in a boardroom; it began in the wilderness. What started in 2020 as a humble blog called Encounter Outdoor—a space to document a single mother’s journey of healing and rediscovering life with her four boys—evolved into something much greater. Through a journey of divorce, navigating deep valleys of past trauma, and finding a restorative peace in the outdoors, I realized a deeper calling: to turn personal pain into a collective purpose. Today, we are building a sanctuary where others can step away from the noise, face their mountains, and experience authentic transformation.

What a blessing it has been to reach this milestone—but our journey of growth is just getting started. Every donation, fundraiser, and prayer is actively fueling the next chapter of our mission: expanding our current therapeutic outdoor programs and securing a permanent ranch property. This dedicated space will allow us to welcome more individuals into our community, host larger events, and eventually provide safe, restorative housing for survivors of sex trafficking. Together, we are building a lasting foundation of hope and healing, and we need your help to expand our reach.
